Biography:

James Schembri is a visual effects producer at Industrial Light & Magic (ILM). Earlier in his career, Schembri worked in coordination and line production roles that supported long-form television and feature films. These credits include visual effects line producer on Emerald City (2016), senior visual effects coordinator on Hooten & the Lady (2016), and visual effects coordinator on Beowulf: Return to the Shieldlands (2016) and Olympus (2015). His feature film coordination work includes Exodus: Gods and Kings (2014) and Maleficent (2014). Before joining ILM, Schembri held senior visual effects production roles at DNEG TV, where he worked on a range of scripted drama and science-fiction series. His credits as visual effects producer include Cursed (2020), Black Mirror (2011) for the Striking Vipers episode, Riviera Season 2 (2017), White Dragon (2018), and Les Misérables (2018-2019). He also served as visual effects line producer on Krypton (2018) and Altered Carbon (2018), contributing to multiple episodes of each series.
