Biography:

Kevin Martel is an animation supervisor at Industrial Light & Magic (ILM). He has contributed to the visual effects of several Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films, including The Avengers (2012), Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Thor: Ragnarok (2017), Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019). In Avengers: Endgame, Martel served as a senior animation supervisor, overseeing complex character animations. His team's work on the character "Smart Hulk" earned them a nomination for the Visual Effects Society (VES) Award for Outstanding Animated Character in a Photoreal Feature. Beyond the MCU, Martel's expertise has been instrumental in the visual effects of other notable films. He served as the animation supervisor for The Electric State (2025), Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (2023), Space Jam: A New Legacy (2021), and Babylon (2022). His work on Babylon contributed to the film's nomination for a Satellite Award for Best Visual Effects. Martel's contributions to the film industry have been recognised with several accolades. He received the VES Award for Outstanding Animated Character in an Animated Feature Motion Picture for his work on Rango (2011). Additionally, he was part of the team that won the VES Award for Outstanding Supporting Visual Effects in a Feature Motion Picture for The Lone Ranger (2013). His work on Jurassic World (2015) earned him a nomination for the Annie Award for Outstanding Achievement in Character Animation in a Live Action Production. He also received nominations for the Hollywood Professional Association (HPA) Award for Outstanding Visual Effects in a Feature Film for his work on Jurassic World and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (2016).
